RPC ENglish 5 Lesson 110

Hello! Here is what msr.Fish wants me to do:

Writing Assignment: Write a final draft of your essay on the following topic: What is the funniest or silliest thing that has ever happened to you?

Here is my work:

The funniest thing that has ever happened to me is my parents telling me that they were gonna homeschool me. First of all at first I thought it was a joke because they had a little smirk on their face. And I thought they were joking. And then I thought I would not enjoy it at all but look at me now.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to RPC I have learned way more then what I would’ve learned from kindergarten to 12th grade if I was going to public school. I have made more real friends with RPC than I did at public school although I don’t even know what 50% of my RPC friends faces look like!

Isn’t that incredible!

What I meant by real friends is I called them my friends back at school but they didn’t treat me well unlike my RPC friends.

And that’s the end!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 145

Hello! Here is what I learned in science this week.

I learned that in all stories there is a bad guy and a main character. So in my story Jake wich is me is the main character and my enemy is breakdownsw they come in the 1400 word to 1500 range of my story.

I also learned that every character needs to have a weakness So Jake’s weakness is Duck eggs. And the evil villain breakdowns weakness is warranty and repair boy.

Here is another chunk of my story:

The neighbors here a celebrating yell they rushed over and noticed that Jake, his mom, dad, and sisters were jumping with joy then the neighbors started jumping with joy also as Jake offered them a job on the farm that he was going to make! Then Jake told his grandparents and offered them a spot to build their dream house on the farm and of course grandpa asked him if he could drive a Massey Ferguson tractor for Jake. A week later the whole family was informed including the whole community of west nippising. Once the mayor heard of Jake’s success she urged to give up all the covid rules and she insisted that she throw a party for Jake and she said in her press conference that day if you know Jake Lewington you’re invited!

And that’s the end!

RPC English 5 Lesson 100

Hello! Here is what i have to do from mrs.Fish:

Writing Assignment: Write a final draft of your essay on the following topic: If you could go back in time, where would you go?

I’d go back in time to 1892 because that is the year the first tractor was invented. And I would help the man named John Froelich design it and bring blueprints on how to make a three point hitch, PTO, and how to make hydraulics. I’d aso teach him how to be safe around PTO equipment as it is very dangerous. A long time ago when I was not born our neighbors used there PTO run forage harvester to sharpen haybine blades to cut hay then one they as they were doing that our neighbors dad got his hand caught in the forage harvester…. So the sun had to get a flame torch to melt the PTO shaft before it took his whole arm or worse. The reason he could not turn of the PTO straight on the tractor is because if he did it would take a minute to slow down and turn of which is enough time to take his dad’s arm. Once the shaft was meled apart the son got his dad’s hand out and his skin was ruffled up and some of it was missing but the worst part was… He lost two of his fingers. But luckily he lived a long life after that sadly he passed away a few years ago so I never really met him.

I’d also show John how to make implements like Discbines and seed drills to speed up work. I’d then show him how to make combines to speed up harvest.

Here is another PTO accident story my pepere told me. Once a man close to where he live was crossing over a PTO while the PTO was in action and his pants got caught and well he broke his shoulder and dinky. Ouch.

So the reason I am telling you guys these stories is because being a farmer is very dangerous and if you ever want to be a Farmer you have to be very careful and never get off your tractor while the PTO is running. Or don’t do anything like that unless you have have someone supervising you. The story about my neighbour is a unique story because these days we have tools that are safe and made for sharpening blades but always be very careful with blades.

Il give two more stories that happened in my family. Once while my Uncle Jerry was fixing his combine head it dropped and luckily he only broke his leg pretty bad but it could of been worse. I heard on the news once a mans legs got paralyzed and his brother was killed while fixing a combine head.

Once my Pepere was working on his dad’s farm and he did not put the park brake on his tractor and so it rolled down the hill and into the bush luckily there was a few scratches and no one was hurt. The funny part of this story is his dad never figured it out and he still doesn’t know about it today!

If you want to have cats or dogs or both out and about on your farm you should teech them to stay away from all vehicles when they are running beacause this summer dad ran over my cat Willow I don’t think you will remember her but she was 7 years old so at least she lived a long life.

At Least Speels her most recent kitten from last spring will continue her legacy. Speels means playful in Dutch.

Once when I used to go to public school I accidentally stabbed myself with a pencil lucky it was one of does newer pencils that use something different than lead. But the tip of that pencil is still stuck right under my pinky finger today. You can’t really see unless your in person know because the skin has really grown over the piece of pencil know.

And that’s why you must be careful on the farm and even just writing with a pencil!

And this is the end for this essay!

RPC english 5 Lesson 90

Hello! As a job from Mrs.Fish I am going to do the following:

Writing Assignment: Write a final draft of your essay on the following topic: What do you think would be a really cool invention?

So here is my final draft!

really cool invention would be a shrinking machine so then we could build 1/64 scale tractors as toys in normal scale then in 1/64 scale we could buy almost any tractor for ten dollars! But if you had to make a living off of 1/64 scale farming to get one bushel of soybeans you’d need about 1 million acres in 1/64 scale or something like that or you grow a really high volume of crops in one field or you grow very valuable or expensive crops.

With a shrinking machine humans would be able to see higher details on worms, ants, and all sorts of little things that are hard to observe! And while you’re not cutting lawn you could shrink down and your backyard could be a jungle! Or you could make sand castles at normal scale then shrink down to whatever scale you made your sand castle at and then you could play in it, or even live in it!

Another benefit would be the government would take less land away from farmers and etc. So then instead of taking 200 acres to make a 2,000 population down you could take one acre and have even more people living in it! but of course you would put a fence around so people that are in normal scale or vehicles don’t run your home and family over.

One more benefit is that you could build a lego house and live in it!

What I find is one of the top three benefits is that the homeless will be able to afford mini houses so they can live in them!

Another great benefit would be if we made mini cars it would make less pollution and the government would not have to cut your into two chunks 50 feet apart.

And one last fun benefit is when you’re typing on a computer you can scale down and jump on the keys and then you’d get schoolwork done and have fun like if you were on a trampoline at the same time!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 135

Hello! Today mr.Dignam would like me to write about what I learned this week, here it is!

So first of all I learned that in many movies there are made up stories it is important that it makes sense and that there are the least grammar mistakes possible because if not the story will be very hard to tell.

Mr.Dignam wants me to come up with a story and I am going to call my story the mega farm. I is based in a fictional land and the farm has 200 million acres and is the world’s largest farm.

I’m probably going to start with the classical story beginning.

Once upon a time…

I will probably put a Big Bud 747 as my main picture on the story.

That’s the end!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 130

Hello! As an assignment from Mr.Dignam I will let you know what I learned!

So here it is:

First of all I learned how to use the Macro lens, zooms lens, normal lens. I also learned that know if I ever lose my job or want a side business I can be a photographer! But i’d prefer to be a farmer my whole life, and if I lose my farm I’ll work for dad or anyone else who needs a farm hand or mechanic!

I also learned that lighting is one of the most important parts of photography. Without the right amount of light your images could be blurry or you would not even be able to see anything!

And since I’m done this semester here is some pictures I took for this semester.

Aaaaaand that’s it!

RPC SCIENCE 5 Lesson 125

Hello! Today in science this week MR.Dignam thought me several things here’s the essay!

So first this week I learned better how lenses adjust, for example most lenses turn to adjust their quality or visibility.

Or one lens called the Macro lens only comes into focus within 15 millimeters of the subject. Here’s an example of a lego guy:

I still have some tinkering to do with the lens attachment so that it comes in focus better. Here is a picture of my great grandpa’s potato digger taken from the front door of the house with my lens attachment.

It works good for zooming in but even at the lowest zoom in setting the quality is terrible compared to my phone without any attachments.

Here the normal version of the picture.

I also discovered that you can make or buy a piece for a camera that blocks the flash so if you’re taking a picture of a bug it does not take off right away.

Then I have not figured out the Fisheye lens yet because it’s like a 360 view lens.

One thing I learned is that it’s very important to clean your lens because the reason my phone’s picture quality when really down quickly was because it was dirty.

That’s it hope you enjoyed!
