The History Of Massey Ferguson

Hello! As an essay idea I came up with myself today I am going to write about the history of Massey Ferguson! Here it is!

The originale company was named Massey Harris founded in 1847 by Daniel Massey.

In 1911 Ferguson tractors was founded by Harry Ferguson who was the first Irishman to build his own plain and fly it.

Here are some Massey Harris tractor pictures.

Here are some ferguson pictures.

In 1953 Massey Harris and Fergusson forget to create Massey Ferguson.

My grandpa is a big fan of Massey Ferguson and we used to be two. Over the years my grandpa has had a lot of Massey Ferguson tractors. My dad’s first tractor was a Massey Ferguson 270. When we first got in to the dairy goat business seven years ago my grandpa was retiring from the farm so we bought his old Massey Ferguson 6180, his old snow blower, rake and a few more pieces of farm equipment. But sadly know we don’t do dairy goats any more. We also had a Massey Ferguson 3090 awhile ago two but we sold it. Sme thing happened with the 6180. I don’t have any pictures of the 3090 that know of but a while ago the 3090 got stuck and I learned how to drive a tractor for the first time while dad tried to pull out the 3090 but the 6180 so we called our neighbor Ernest and he brought his biggest Massey and pulled us out Ernest is a very big Massey Ferguson fan. I have a picture of the 6180 ploughing a field so we can tile it.

In 1993 Massey Ferguson was bought by AGCO at one point AGCO used Massey Ferguson technology to make their tractors but then eventually stopped making AGCO tractors around 2010.

That’s it!

The History Of Versatile

Hello! Today I am going to write about the history of Versatile… Here it is!

The first tractor they made was the D100 in 1966 but that was not the beginning of Versatile.

Versatile started in 1947 but only made tillage equipment until 1966. In 1966 they started to build the Versatile D100 which has 100HP.

In 1967 they started to build the G125 which had 125HP.

In 1969 they started building the 118, 125, and 145 models, which had 118, 125, and 145HP.

In 1973 they started building the 700, 800, 850, and 900. My Uncle Jerry had a Versatile 900 a few months back. The 700 had 220 hp, the 800 had 250 hp, the 850 had 280 hp, and the 900 had 300 hp.

Uncle Jerry’s Versatile 900

In 1977 they built the Big Roy which had 600hp but was too big in its time so it was cancelled.

In 1989 Ford bought Versatile. The first Ford Versatile built was the 846 built from 1989 to 1993, which had 230hp.

In 2000 Buhler bought Versatile from Ford and made the Buhler Versatile 2425 and some other tractors. The 2425 has 425hp.

In 2008 (the year I was born) Versatile bought Versatile from Buhler, and Versatile made the Versatile 400 and three other smaller tractors. The 400 has 400hp

In 2016 Versatile changed its colors to red, black, and yellow. They made the 550 and other very large tractors. The 550 has 550HP.

In 2017 they returned to their official 1966 heritage colors but added black. This year they made the models: 380, 400, 430, 460, 520, 570, 610. The 610 has 610 HP.

In 2019 Versatile started making the Nemesis series and also got hired by Kubota to start the M8 series.

Versatile Nemesis 195 has 195HP
The Kubota M8-211 which has 210hp

My favorite tractor from this essay would be the M8-211 but since it has to be a Versatile Il go with Uncle Jerry’s Versatile 900

That’s it!

Tractors I Could Potentially Buy In The Future

Hello! Today as an dad essay dad wanted me to write an essay on a few tractors I could buy. My plan is to first list my potential buys then I will make a top three for ones that make the most sense and il do a top ten favorites. I can’t really buy anything over the year of 2005 because the prices get to high. So I’m mainly sticking to under 1990.

The three most reasonable tractors to buy would probably be 9,8, and 3 because they all don’t have to much horsepower and there not to small and there more in the range dad thinks I should buy in and they are tractor I have already seen and thought it would be cool to have one someday.

My top ten most would be

  1. #9
  2. #12
  3. #7
  4. #2
  5. #8
  6. #6
  7. #1
  8. #3
  9. #11
  10. #3

Someday I hope to get to the point where I have giant tractors like these three.

That’s it hope you enjoyed folks!

The History of Case IH

Hello! Today I will Be writing about the history of the Case IH tractor brand!

Case IH

Case IH has been in business for over 175 years know and there is a lot of history behind them.

Case

Before Case IH existed there was only Case. The colors of the original tractor was orange and white lucky I have a case model tractor that I use for forage harvesting.

Mine is not in the best condition but I have had it for quite a while. Here is some history of the founder of Case.

Case’s Founder

Jerome Increase Case (1819–1891) was born to a Williamstown, New York farming family. As a young child, Case read about a machine that could cut wheat without people needing to use their hands. He developed an interest in agriculture at that point.Case took small, hand-powered threshing machines to Wisconsin in 1842, where he improved the design and established a company to manufacture them. In 1843, Case moved the business to Racine, Wisconsin, in order to have better access to water power, and opened the Racine Threshing Machine Works. In 1863, Case partnered with three of his top employees, Massena Erskine, Robert Baker and Stephen Bull. Case was also involved in politics and horse racing. Over time, the company grew.

International Harvester

Before I talk about how these two brands merged I have to tell you all how International Harvester started. I also have a IH which is short for International Harvester.

The International Harvester Company (often abbreviated by IHC or IH, or shortened to International) was an American manufacturer formed from the 1902 merger of McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and Deering Harvester Company. The business lines of the company included agricultural equipment, automobiles, commercial trucks, lawn and garden products, household equipment, and other entities. Along with the Farmall and Cub Cadet tractors, International is also known for the Scout and Travelall vehicle nameplates. Following years of financial and economic decline, International began selling its separate equipment divisions, starting with the sale of the construction division to Dresser Industries in 1982. In November 1984 IH finalized a deal with Tenneco to sell the farm equipment division to its subsidiary, J.I Case. Henceforth IH became a truck and engine manufacturer, reorganized as Navistar International in 1986. Throughout its existence International Harvester was headquartered in Chicago, Illinois (and Navistar remained through 2000).

Then Case and International merged. On November 23, 1984, the deal was finalized. Almost three months later, during February 1985, the transaction was completed.

Then Ford came who made tractors. After New Holland came next Ford bought New Holland and let go the Ford brand. then Case IH bought New Holland. Next Ford decided to make tractors again and they called them Ford Versatile. And I have one.

Then Versatile bought itself out of Ford then Versatile became its own company.

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed!

Why John Deere’s Are So Expensive And Always Break Down?

Hello! Today since I felt like it I decided that I am going to write about why John Deere is so expensive and breaks down all the time.

John Deere’s are so expensive but not always the best quality because they use expensive parts. There have been reports that too try too save money by getting their engineers to do a half job or just not do everything properly. Like they will loosen a fuse so it burns out more quickly which you can’t always fix.

Now that explains why they always break down. Now I have to tell you why they’re so expensive.

John Deere has a little higher prices than the competition but that’s not a big deal. It’s all the repairs they have to go for all the time. In certain places your not allowed to fix your John Deere tractor like in Australia, and because of that, getting their local dealership to fix it makes it more expensive to have a John Deere, compared to other brands which farmers are able to fix themselves.

Now just for the fun of it here are some stuck John Deere’s and broken John deere pictures!

This Tractor is super stuck it’s tri duals witch is three duals on every tire and plus it’s one of John Deere’s biggest tractor series! 🤣🤣

John Deere 9560R

The small tractor got stuck then the big tractor that came to pull it out got stuck then after that the farms biggest tractor came and got stuck!!!🤣🤣

This is not a normal tractor…

Poor Tires they deserve a better brand.

And that’s it hope you enjoyed!
