RPC Science 5 Lesson 180

Hello! I thought today would be my last day of schoolwork until I start grade 8 but turns out there is 10 extra lessons, so anyways here’s what I learned today!

So first of all I learned that you do need an good audio recorder if you want to make a good film I just thought as long as you can here the movie it was fine.

I am working a two five minutes movies right know one on our Kubota M9540 and one on our M110X, Basically I just record it starting then doing work like cleaning snow or feeding the cows, then I do a walk around but since both of them are parked in the shed and there is not to good lighting I’m going to wait until there outside again to do the walkaround then I’m going to publish the video’s on my YouTube channel. I also have one of our 1997 Polaris Explorer 300 starting up but I just waked it and I don’t want to get it dirty.

I also finally got that LEGO Claas Xerion 5000 set! And I made some implement but I am also thinking on creating a series called Ingenious invention’s with Jake you’ll see why I call it “ingenious” If I make one.

The end!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 165

Hello! Here is what i learned in todays science lesson’s on film making!

It’s really important to have a good camera which I should of thought of but it’s a good thing I got a go pro for Christmas! I just don’t know how to get video’s on my computer so another thing on my to do list!

I also learned that by typing explosiom my computer will spell check it to exposition! But I fixed it.

Then I learned that Sometimes you wright a very long and good script and then the next time you look at it you think is terrible makes it much harder so more respect to movie writers.

The End!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 165

Hello! Today was my first five lessons of my last semester in grade five science. Lately I have been doing only math to get ahead and math does not require a blog post so I have not been to active lately.

Anyways in science today I wrote the starting of a script for a mini movie that I may turn into a series called Toy wars: the attack of the organising monster. I got this idea after taking some video of my 1/64 scale tractor exploding using one of Olivia’s toys. (Olivia’s blog: https://livylblog.wordpress.com/ ).

Anyways I will get one or two clips on at the end of the post.

I also learned that I have greatly underestimated the work scriptwriters do as I used to think they were just a bunch of kids my age that had nothing better to do so someone hires them to write a random story in return for some candy or a video game. But I was wrong script writers are grown adults that went to collage to learn this stuff and know that I’m doing it I respect them much more!

And here’s the video I promised

And that is it over and out!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 155

Hello once again! In this part of the day I learned about a few more things so here you go!

I learned that making my story too long will cause me to loose an audience so I decided to limit my amount of words to 2,000 since I already have about 1,500. I fine that once I start writing my final draft of it I may end up with 2,050 words but that not the end of the world, as long as I don’t go to 3,000 words.

I also learned that if I don’t pay attention to my curer when I’m writing on my computer I waste a lot of time. 🙄

Then after that I learned that by planning what you are going to write before you write it you can get the job done much faster.

Since I am trying to catch up on my schedule for science I won’t give another part of my story so the end!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 150

Hello! Here’s what I learned in science today!

I learned that by giving your main character weakness, strengths, and qualities it really gets your viewer to care about the character.

Then I learned that by reading other students or other random people’s stories it helps me to think about ideas for my story.

Although in one of my past essay’s I said I learned why it’s important for the main character to have an enemy but I learned that I also have tp describe the enemy as well as the main character’s or else whenever the bad guy comes in it wont be to interesting.

Here is another chunk of the story now remember this is only my rough draft.

At the party Jake’s friends were all there and he offered to both of his two friends named Tyler if they would like to work on the farm in return for a home on the property. Tyler with an E said he would go as long as he fought to drive the biggest tractor New Holland makes which is the T9 628, and Tylor with a O said he’d certainly go if the property had some hunting land. The following day after the community held a celebration party Jake had bought a property that had 200 million farmable acres and 500 hundred acres of swamp and bush. But that had taken his 1 trillion and a half dollars then secretly all of Ontario came together to give Jake another trillion dollars to pay his employees and to buy buildings and tractors. But then the next day the top ten most popular tractor brands had sent Jake an email requesting that they would be his youtube channel sponsor since they knew he would need a lot of tractors. Since Jake really dislikes John Deere he said that he’d pass on them. Jake answered to Massey Ferguson and asked if they would work out a sponsorship so Jake could also be sponsored by CASE IH and Kubota. He then asked the same thing to Kubota and Case IH as Massey Ferguson agreed to this contract. Sadly CASE IH did not agree but Kubota did so Jake moved on to his fourth favorit brand Fendt and they took CASE IH’s spot on the sponsorship contract.

So Then I learned that it is way more important to have an enemy in your story than I thought.

And that’s it!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 145

Hello! Here is what I learned in science this week.

I learned that in all stories there is a bad guy and a main character. So in my story Jake wich is me is the main character and my enemy is breakdownsw they come in the 1400 word to 1500 range of my story.

I also learned that every character needs to have a weakness So Jake’s weakness is Duck eggs. And the evil villain breakdowns weakness is warranty and repair boy.

Here is another chunk of my story:

The neighbors here a celebrating yell they rushed over and noticed that Jake, his mom, dad, and sisters were jumping with joy then the neighbors started jumping with joy also as Jake offered them a job on the farm that he was going to make! Then Jake told his grandparents and offered them a spot to build their dream house on the farm and of course grandpa asked him if he could drive a Massey Ferguson tractor for Jake. A week later the whole family was informed including the whole community of west nippising. Once the mayor heard of Jake’s success she urged to give up all the covid rules and she insisted that she throw a party for Jake and she said in her press conference that day if you know Jake Lewington you’re invited!

And that’s the end!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 135

Hello! Today mr.Dignam would like me to write about what I learned this week, here it is!

So first of all I learned that in many movies there are made up stories it is important that it makes sense and that there are the least grammar mistakes possible because if not the story will be very hard to tell.

Mr.Dignam wants me to come up with a story and I am going to call my story the mega farm. I is based in a fictional land and the farm has 200 million acres and is the world’s largest farm.

I’m probably going to start with the classical story beginning.

Once upon a time…

I will probably put a Big Bud 747 as my main picture on the story.

That’s the end!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 130

Hello! As an assignment from Mr.Dignam I will let you know what I learned!

So here it is:

First of all I learned how to use the Macro lens, zooms lens, normal lens. I also learned that know if I ever lose my job or want a side business I can be a photographer! But i’d prefer to be a farmer my whole life, and if I lose my farm I’ll work for dad or anyone else who needs a farm hand or mechanic!

I also learned that lighting is one of the most important parts of photography. Without the right amount of light your images could be blurry or you would not even be able to see anything!

And since I’m done this semester here is some pictures I took for this semester.

Aaaaaand that’s it!

RPC SCIENCE 5 Lesson 125

Hello! Today in science this week MR.Dignam thought me several things here’s the essay!

So first this week I learned better how lenses adjust, for example most lenses turn to adjust their quality or visibility.

Or one lens called the Macro lens only comes into focus within 15 millimeters of the subject. Here’s an example of a lego guy:

I still have some tinkering to do with the lens attachment so that it comes in focus better. Here is a picture of my great grandpa’s potato digger taken from the front door of the house with my lens attachment.

It works good for zooming in but even at the lowest zoom in setting the quality is terrible compared to my phone without any attachments.

Here the normal version of the picture.

I also discovered that you can make or buy a piece for a camera that blocks the flash so if you’re taking a picture of a bug it does not take off right away.

Then I have not figured out the Fisheye lens yet because it’s like a 360 view lens.

One thing I learned is that it’s very important to clean your lens because the reason my phone’s picture quality when really down quickly was because it was dirty.

That’s it hope you enjoyed!

RPC Science 5 Lesson 120

Hello! Sorry about the confusion yesterday’s essay was actually lesson 115 but it’s fixed now! Today Mr.Dignam wants me write about what I learned in science these five lessons.

So here it is:

I learned how to focus on my subject of a picture with my phone like I took a picture of a corn kernel that was slightly sprouted. Since my phone is a Apple 7S the focusing lens is slightly better than the 6S lens which is what the guy who was teaching me in the video had.

The main difference in the 6S and 7S is that the 7S has more space, two lenses, and last but not least the weight is different. I also learned that getting a bigger more expensive camera is sometimes are a better idea if you taking pictures of fast moving things like trucks.

I then learned that photography is harder than it looks so know I have more respect for the photographers that make a living of of this art.

I also discovered that lightning is very important because if the lighting is wrong with an iphone you can’t adjust the lighting much.

And that’s it hope you enjoyed!
