Hello! This week in science I learned how to draw many hard things I also learned that there are many different ways to draw.
I also watch these drawing tutorials that where very interesting There was many hard things to draw in it like in lesson 54 I had to draw a 3D landscape here it is:
The drawing has a barn way in the background. I also have a Kenworth transport hauling food from the local beef form to go to the market. Most of the fields are plowed. But the front field is a hay field. There are only deciduous trees left in the drawing because the lumberJacks cut down all the pines and Spruce trees.
Hello! This week in science I learned some basic sketching stuff like shading and accuracy. I watched five videos on that subject then I also learned about making 3d objects like a cup or a house. I also learned how drawing can be expensive and you need all of these things that can be expensive like a modeling clay eraser is a little weird to me. There is even plastic erasers how do they even work? There also all of these different tools that don’t make sense to me drawing is way more complicated than I remember it being That’s my summary for this lesson.
Hello! Today in my first day of art science I learned many things about Christians religion like Jesus’s last dinner. Another interesting artist I learned about is Thomas Cole.
Here is a little something on him. Thomas Cole (February 1, 1801 – February 11, 1848) was an English-born American painter known for his landscape and history paintings. One of the major 19th-century American painters, he is regarded as the founder of the Hudson River School, an American art movement that flourished in the mid-19th century.
I also watched some doodling videos and Olivia participated along me as I did two pages of doodles and got a bloody nose.
I’ really worried about art because my hands are very shaky but when I went to real school it actually went pretty good I won the Schoolbord grade 3, 4, and 5. Also in the grade 4 coloring contest I won in the School board region for grade 4,ers. and in grade 2, 3 and 5 I won the easter drawing contest for my class. In my grade five win I got some pastels but I let Olivia use them since she is the artist girl.
Here is one of my drawings from grade 4.
This is the won where I won school board region I think the only reason I won that year was because the school board was late to accept drawings and the two girls who normally win the best province drawing must of braught theres home to show to their parents and where too slow to get it back to School on time.
Hello! This week in science I learned about becoming a Certified Master Chef (CMC), how to make baguettes, French baguettes, and I got a refresher on how to make dough and batter.
Baguettes are also the main type of bread in lego as it is the only bread you can get in lego.
I am use to making bread as my mom makes one loaf of bread every two week or every week.
Like here is one of my favorite breads she made the Volcano bread.
In other news we just got two kittens this morning! There both boys and we gave the one with a white ring pattern on his neck Ernie and the other one Bert! Both Bert and Ernie are family members Ernie is my great grandpa Ernels nickname and he passed away three years ago and this would of been his birthday today.
Hello! Today I learned about Fruits like Apples, Oranges, Lemons, and etc.
Did yo know that the colour Orange was actually named after the fruit orange. Did you know in the olden days when my great grandpa was a kid Oranges used to be Christmas!
I also learned other ways to make apple fruit. Even though my favorite way to make apple sauce is my moms way I find this way seems good two.
I also seen how orange juice was is made. And the one Orange farm made their own 1 million dollar orange harvester! I think there harvester ther is very cool!
They use truck that have 400 horse power that has more horse power than a Case IH Puma!
Hello! This week I learned about edible flours like Rosemary, Chive, and etc.
Last friday when we went to find that swamp we also found a plant that looks like Rosemary but is not Rosemary because it does not smell.
If anyone knows what this plant is please tell me where is west nippising wich is about this little part of Ontario Canada.
I learned that there a recipes to make kandy’s with flour petals and sugar!
I wonder how it tastes. I have been pretty busy the past few weeks that’s why I haven’t gotten to doing my essay. like last week was the week of my birthday.
Hello! Here is what I learned this week on science!
I learned some stuff about onions like the stuff that makes you cry is actually a self defense surprisingly. Also onions come in blue!?!?!? I’ve seen purple, red, and white onions but blue!?!?!? That’s cool!
I also was supposed to make a salsa but since we had no uses for the salsa we made a cake for my one year homeschool and blogging anniversary. Here is a picture of the brainy carrot cake.
The reason I call it a brainy cake is because instead of pelling the carrots I actually rounded them which made the inside of the cake look like a brown brain. And the last reason I call it a Brainy Carrot Cake is because Emma did not but the icing funnel in the bag properly! Also the orange part is supposed to be a carrot.
Hello today on RPC science 5 I learned about things I sorta already knew like how to handle plants, I learned I tinsy bit more about Photosymphasist, and I learned that I will be making a Treacle tart as a bonus at the end of the Masterchef section.
I also learned more about my favorite kind of tree on my essay RPC Science 5 L3 Like I did not now Dinosaurs once lived in Ontario. I had no clue there was such a thing as a Black Pine or even a European Black Pine I also had no clue that there where any species of Pine trees in Korea but now I know.
Hello today Mr.Dignan wanted me to do this as my assignment:
Write a short article on your favorite plant. Describe this plant and talk about why you like it. Answer the following questions in your paper:
What is the genus and species?
Is it an annual, biennial or perennial?
Does it produce edible fruit?
What part of the world can it be found?
My favorite plant would be a Red Pine tree that grows here in Ontario Quebec, and south of the Great Lakes.
The Red Pine is like any other Pine tree (Besides the Tamarack) but instead of growing hard brown bark it grows light brown, reddish, and pink bark. The average height is 24 feet tall and the red pine in Ontario can grow from 20 feet to 45 feet and once in awhile you’ll see the one giant Red Pine that is 50 feet. The reason I like it is because the size it can reach its color and it’s good fire wood when it’s dead.
Now I will answer Mr.Dignan list of questions:
Pine
Perennial
It does not produce fruit or anything editable.
It can mainly be found in Quebec and Ontario Canada.
Here is a list of my top 10 favorite tree species:
Red Pine
White Pine
White Oak
Kapok
Red Oak
Maple
Spruce
Tamarack
Poplar
Coast Redwood
The Coast Redwood is world’s biggest tree species so I will post a picture than continue with my essay.
Now the Red Pine brother in its classification are: White Pine, Spruce, Korean Red Pine, and the European Black Pine.
Here are some interesting facts about the Red Pine:
There was only one living things in worlds existence that ate only Red Pine trees it’s name is the: Lambeosaurus this Dinosaur is one of the few Ontarian Dinosaurs here is a picture of it:
That’s it thank you for reading! Please tell me what your favorite plant is!
So today I just started science 5 and my assignment for lesson 1 was to write a short article on what I would like to make after Food Science is over. What ingredients are needed? Who would I like to share it with? How can I encourage someone else with this experience?
So what I would like to cook after food science would be a big bison ribs with goat meat and Bass on the side mmmmmmm I am watering over it right now that is a very cool thing. The ingredients I would need are: Bison ribs, goat meat, bass meat, a little salt, lime juice, Parsley, pepper and flour. I’d like to share my recipe and meal with anyone who wants to try making it themselves or any one who wants try at home like mom and dad. The way I can encourage someone else with this experience would be to let them see how I cook in the kitchen incase it is someone who is germaphobic or someone who just someone who won’t think it’s good. After I get them in the kitchen I would get them to taste samples as I go to encourage them to eat my whole meal when it’s ready and then hopefully it works!
